Inside Culet & Song IV

4th Generation Fine Jewellers

For decades past, a family heritage of designing and manufacturing the finest gold and diamond jewellery for the retail market in South Africa, while specialising in custom heirloom, bridal, and dowry collections, has culminated into our first direct-to-consumer brand, Culet & Song IV, dedicated to serving the next generation of luxury buyers.

Mastery and hand craftsmanship are the cornerstone of our design philosophy. It all begins with a hand-sketched design, meticulous material selection, and sampling development in our workshop, ultimately evolving into a handcrafted artisanal creation. The synergy between ancient Eastern handcraft techniques and Western practices over centuries old reflects a seamlessly refined approach to sculpting gracious, artistic, and rare silhouettes of fine jewellery for a timeless aesthetic.

Designed To Last For Generations

Fine jewellery goes beyond adornment, it represents a precious investment. The ceremonial practice of handing over family jewels signifying memories, sentimentality, status, and value with each generation's dynasty being preserved is an age-old tradition that continues to endure. We devote the same uncompromising emphasis to crafting Culet & Song IV collections by hand selecting the finest grade of precious metals and gems, acknowledging their uniqueness and beauty with every tonal spectrum, cut, shape, and form destined for the design of every forever-lasting piece.

Honour The Past, Present And Future

Under the stewardship of the family's 4th generation, three siblings are nurturing the Culet & Song IV brand forward with a commitment toward sustainability and fine jewellery that lasts for generations. Depicted in the brand's logo are three lions gazing to the past, present, and future, inspired by the family's crest over centuries old, the spirit of honouring time and tradition continues.

"Longer-lasting jewellery plays an essential role in preserving and reducing the consumption of natural resources. Unique collections are intentionally designed to go beyond age, beyond time, and beyond gender to sustain generational versatility."

Superior grade precious metals and gemstones ensure longevity, while provenance from reputable refineries and IGI - International Gemological Institute certified gemstones are part of our effort toward environmentally conscience practices. Product packaging includes a zero plastic policy combined with locally produced packaging, and hand-made components by women artisans, which are a few of the initiatives we have undertaken on our journey toward sustainability, a personal passion led by our managing executive who brings a diverse history of experience from the fashion and beauty industry, having held executive roles for Mango, Dickies, and Zando in South Africa. She deeply believes we each have a responsibility toward conservation, with thoughtful, meaningful choices made by brands and consumers alike, we are all honouring the past, present and future.
